Linda Noskova: the calm warrior with heavy artillery

Linda Nosková is a professional tennis player from the Czech Republic. At 21 years old, she achieved her biggest career milestone by winning the 2026 Wimbledon Women’s Singles Championship on 11 July 2026, defeating fellow Czech Karolína Muchová

Following her historic Grand Slam triumph, she climbed to a career-high singles ranking of World No. 7

2026 Wimbledon Victory

  • Maiden Title: Nosková claimed her first-ever Grand Slam title by defeating Muchová 6-2, 5-7, 6-3 in a thriller lasting nearly two and a half hours
  • Composure: After letting five championship points slip away and enduring a mid-match collapse in the second set, she famously regrouped during a bathroom break. She checked the trophies, resolved to win the largest one, and fought back to dominate the deciding set
  • Historical Milestone: She became the youngest Wimbledon women’s champion since Petra Kvitova in 2011. Her victory continued a dominant run for Czech women at SW19, following Markéta Vondroušová (2023) and Barbora Krejčíková (2024).
